JKEDI concludes entrepreneur development programme

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 03: The Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Kupwara today concluded its three-week long entrepreneur development programme for young entrepreneurs of the district.

The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir participated in the function as chief guest, which was also attended by Joint Director Planning (CPO), Kupwara, JKEDI officers, Kupwara, and all registered youths who had undergone training.

The DDC was briefed that the training was imparted to 51 registered youth of the district. He was also informed about various activities carried out by the youth of the district at different levels.

Interacting with the young entrepreneurs, the District Development Commissioner expressed his satisfaction over the programmes carried out by the JKEDI Kupwara for the betterment of the youth to establish their own income generating units.

The DDC exhorted upon the EDI authorities in general and the youth, in particular, to work with extra zeal and dedication so that they can extend their hand in betterment of  the society.

Lauding the role of JKEDI, the DDC said that the organization is providing all necessary help including basic training, financial and technical assistance to the young entrepreneurs to make them self-sufficient. He also directed the JKEDI Kupwara authorities to conduct more training camps.
