Mirwaiz detained no Friday prayers in major mosques, shrines of Srinagar
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was detained near his Nageen residence when he tried to defy the restrictions and March to shopian on Friday noon.Police said that Mirwaiz was detained and kept at Nageen police station.
Due to severe restrictions in Srinagar city there are no Friday prayers possible at all the main shrines and mosques of the city.there would be no Friday prayers possible due to restrictions at Jamia masjid of Srinagar and at half dozen shrines of the city.people of Srinagar city have expressed concern over the intermittent restrictions and curfew on Fridays and have blamed government for pushing people to wall in the city.
