Rain And Snow In Kashmir, Himachal, Dry Weather In Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai

To begin with the weather of North; a Western Disturbance is prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir. Also, a trough is extending from this system up to Central Pakistan. With this, light to moderate rain and snow are expected over some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and few places of Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, the weather over the northwestern plains will stay dry. Medium to high clouds are expected to persist over the region. Moreover, day and night temperatures will settle above the normal.

Talking about the fog, northwesterly winds of moderate speed will continue to prevail over the plains of North India. Thus, the intensity of fog will remain on the lower side.

Moving to Central India, an anti-cyclone is seen over Southwest Madhya Pradesh. With this, the weather would remain dry over the entire region. Maximum temperatures will remain above the normal levels over South Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh. Here, day will be warm and sunny, while night is expected to be cool and comfortable.

Coming to East and Northeast India, the intensity of fog will further reduce over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. So, day temperatures will now increase, leading to warm and sunny days. Similarly, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha will witness sunny days and cool nights.

In spite of a cyclonic circulation over Assam and adjoining area, the weather will remain dry over northeastern states.Down South, a trough is extending from Southeast Bay of Bengal up to Sri Lanka. With this, light rain may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, the weather over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will remain dry. Nights are expected to be cool over Telangana and Rayalaseema, remaining parts of Southern Peninsula will observe comfortable nights.
