Shopian shut to mourn killings
There is a complete shutdown in shopian and adjacent areas to mourn the killing of civilian and two local militants. Rail services have been suspended for south kashmir. Police has deployed additional paramilitary troops in the area today and were trying to stop people from going to the native villages of slain militants.
Reports said that two girls who received gunshot injuries in protests are still battling for thier lives in the hospital. Locals have alleged that police and security forces used excessive force against the protestors near the encounter site.
