Abdul Subhan Qureshi, ‘India’s bin laden’ and mastermind of 2008 Gujarat blasts, arrested in Delhi

He is also suspected of being involved in the July 11, 2006 Mumbai train bombings.

One of the most wanted terrorists of SIMI-IM Abdul Subhan Qureshi was arrested following a brief exchange of fire, by Delhi Police special cell. He was involved in 2008 serial blasts in Gujarat.
He is one of the founding members of Indian Mujahideen (IM).

Abdul Subhan Qureshi (also known as Abdus Subhan) is a suspected bomb-maker. He is also suspected of being associated with the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), and is thought to have been involved in bombings at Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Delhi.

Qureshi is also suspected of being involved in the July 11, 2006 Mumbai train bombings.

He was listed on the NIA’s most wanted list. The agency had announced a reward of Rs 4 lakh for any information that would have led to his arrest.

One case against him includes his alleged participation in a secret training camp in 2007 that was organised by SIMI activists in Thangalpara, Kerala.

The intention of this camp being organised was to wage war against the nation.(Agencies)
