12 of a family killed in Jharkhand road accident

At least 12 people from a family were killed in a road accident in Jharkhand, police said on Monday.The accident occurred in Gumla district late on Sunday.According to police, 16 people were returning home in a three-wheeler after attending a function when a truck hit the vehicle, killing 12 at the spot.The driver of the truck, which was illegally carrying sand, fled. The injured were brought to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences.Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon have expressed grief over the incident.(Agencies)
