Dry weather open skies predicted till Jan 12

After light snowfall in Gulmarg Phalgham and other higher reaches of Kashmir on Friday night temperatures again were recorded minus degree Celsius. With Srinagar city shivering at minus3.9 degree Celsius during the previous night. An official of MET department of Srinagar said that as per their current prediction, the weather conditions will remain by and large dry with open sky’s in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region. He said that such conditions are predicted till January 12 in the current month.
Kargil continues to be the coldest place in the state as it touched minus twenty degree Celsius on Friday. Jammu region has also a dip in temperatures as the recorded temperature during the previous night in Jammu city has been shown by the MET department as 2.7 degree Celsius. During the previous night Banihal and Batote recorded minus temperatures while Katra has recorded 5 degree Celsius during the previous night.
