Rs 1492 Cr credit plan approved for Anantnag

ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 27:  District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting of bankers and Line Departments to discuss and approve the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for upcoming financial year 2018-19.

LDM, LBO RBI, DDM NABARD and District Coordinators of all the banks among others attended the meeting. Besides, district officers and heads of all the line departments and sponsoring agencies were also present on the occasion.

A credit plan of Rs 1492 crore was approved in the meeting under the priority sector, an increase of 15 percent over the current plan.  The details of the plan were deliberated by DDM NABARD. He informed that the ACP would be formulated by Lead bank in consonance with the Potential Linked Plan (PLP) prepared by NABARD.  He urged upon the banks to provide the credit as envisaged in the plan as per the requirements of various sectors of the district.

Stressing on the need for synergy between banks and line departments, DDC pointed out that awareness regarding various credit schemes should be done at the level of villages for the benefit of masses.

Similarly, stress was laid to focus on Allied Agriculture and MSME sector.

The DDC called upon all the officers to work out the requirements so that requisite credit can be pumped to ameliorate the lot of the people. For that, he directed them to mobilize their field functionaries so that proper achievement at ground level is made.
