Search operations on in Shopian,Hajjin
Army CRPF and SOG wing of J&K police laid siege of several localities in Hajjin area of Bandipora district and some villages of Southern Shopian district on Thursday evening.
Police said that they were having inputs and they were confident that some militants were trapped in Hajjin siege while this report was being filed. There are no reports yet of any gunfight in the besieged area.
Police said that in the cashew village and adjacent areas they received reports about the presence of militants in Shopian district and the area was immediately cordoned off. Police said that house to house searches were going on in the ringed villages till this report was being filed.
