Jaya Bachchan on Sachin Tendulkar not being allowed to speak amid Opposition ruckus in the Rajya Sabha.
“He has earned name for India at the world stage, it is a matter of shame that he was not allowed to speak even when everyone knew it was on today’s agenda. Are only politicians allowed to speak?” the Samajwadi Party MP asked.
The Opposition is demanding an apology from PM Narendra Modi for his verbal attack on former PM Manmohan Singh.
This is the first time in five years that Tendulkar is even attempting to speak in Parliament. He was supposed to speak on the right to play. (Agencies)
