Ex gratia enhanced for police families, tweets police chief
Director general of Jammu and Kashmir police S. P Vaid on Wednesday evening in a tweet has said that next of kin of any slain cop will get now ex gratia relief to the tune of seventy lakh rupees. In this tweet he said that union home ministry has approved the enhaofnced compensation to the families of jk police personal.
Earlier they used to get only 43 lakh rupees and now the state police families will get 73 lakh as compensation. The central government has taken slew of measures to redress the greviences of State police and for the modernisation of this force already union home ministry has released 500 crores and they are in the process of purchasing bullet proof vehicles and other equipment for them to make it frontline anti militancy force.
