Is BJP-PDP government hushing-up fake arms license scam?
According to officials sources to VOV, Mehbooba led coalition government was trying to hush-up a huge fake arms license scam. Reports said that thousands of criminals in Jammu region, allegedly RSS workers have managed arms licenses by faking identity card of army and paramilitary forces. The communally sensitive Jammu region is virtually at a brink of a catastrophe, as the many Muslim organizations in this region have been crying that many Hindu rabid organizations are armed in the region and pose threat to them. RSS workers have conducted number of marches brandishing swords and arms in the markets of Jammu city, Doda and KHISTAWAR markets.
Reports said that many BJP law makers, ministers were trying to play down the scam as the official data of JK government is very disturbing. The JK state has issued three lakh licenses for arms to army and paramilitary jawans in the year 2016 alone.
Recently Rajasthan polices ATS cell approached JK government in connection with fake gun licenses issued from the state. Highly placed officials told VOV that ATS Rajasthan found that 1300 people from Rajasthan including criminals got licenses from JK state in which ID cards of army and paramilitary forces were morphed. The investigations have brought some interesting facts to the fore in JK sate.
Reports said that in the offices of different district heads and through state home department thousands of arms licenses were issued in the past two years with forged letters from many commanding officers in the name of fake men in uniform. The document seized by ATS Rajasthan show that there has been an nexus between some JK state officials and some business men of Rajasthan to get licenses on the fake identity cards. Reports said that in the year 2016 JK state has issued three lakh gun licenses and the state home department has not bothered to check as how and why they were being issued so recklessly.
Latest reports said that the JK government was trying to hush up the investigation as hundreds of fake gun licenses have been issued in Jammu region alone to criminals, drug mafia gangs and to some right wing Hindu fringe activists. A senior police officer from Jammu told this reporter that they were in touch with ATS Rajasthan and were closely monitoring the investigations. He neither confirmed nor denied whether they were investigating the fake arms licenses issued, most of them in Jammu region or not.
