Kathua Admin organises quiz competition

KATHUA,: A quiz competition on the topic “No Voter To Be Left Behind” was held here today in which 34 students from 17 different Higher Secondary Schools participated.

District Election Officer, Rohit Khajuria was the chief guest on the occasion.

 While addressing the students, District Election Officer congratulated the participants of the contest. He said that the main aim of organizing this quiz competition is to generate awareness among the students and to strengthen   democracy by motivating the young voters to enroll themselves for voting, thus involving their greater participation in the electoral system.

 Later, the DEO facilitated the winners as well as the participants of the quiz competition. He also informed them that Hr. Sec. School, Parnala and Pallan, who are the winners of this competition, will get a chance to participate in the state level competition which is to be held at Jammu.

 Dy DEO, Chand Kishore appealed the young voters to get themselves enrolled and become an ambassador to carry forward the message so that every citizen above 18 years gets enrolled and exercise his right to vote.

 Among others, CEO Kathua, Balbir Singh, DIO Kathua, Angrej Singh, staff members and students of various schools were present on the occasion.
