Mother of Zahid demand justice from Mehbooba
Zahid Manzoor a 16 year old boy of a poor family of Zoonimar area of Srinagar is still battling for life in ICU of SHMS hospital. His mother Shamima Bano is wailing as she cannot see the wounds inflicted on her son by men in uniform on Friday afternoon when they fired from a close range a full cartridge of pellets on her son. Even police admit that there was a very small protest at Nawa Kadal area of Srinagar on Friday afternoon. Not only mother of Zahid Shamima Bano is seeking justice but civil society in Kashmir has demanded strict and prompt action against the men in uniform who acted so mercilessly against a teenage boy without any provocation.
According to the doctors family of Zahid Manzoor does not have the money even to buy medicine and due to pellet injuries doctors have already removed his right kidney and gall bladder. The family along with their neighbours in the hospital demand justice and question the sincerity of the government to put an end to such excessive use of force in Kashmir. Angry relatives of Zahid told VOV that Mehbooba Mufti should walk the talk and punish the guilty cops as soon as possible. They said that the state and the central government on one hand were injuring seriously teenagers and on the other hand talking about peace and amnesty to the youth. The family members further said that no official from the government visited them in the hospital and they want justice for their son.
