Srinagar: Former Union Minister and J&K Chief Minister of J&K Dr Farooq Abdullah has given another controversial statement on Monday when he dared Modi government to unfurl tri-colour at Lal Chowk before talking of taking back PoK from Pakistan. The National Conference president said that New Delhi should clear its policy of how to move forward for the talks internally and externally with Government of Pakistan. He said that New Delhi was making a joke of talks by sending another interlocutor for talks. He said that on one hand anti-militancy operations are going on and on the other hand Dineshwar Sharma is meeting non-entities in Kashmir, rubbing salt on the wounds of Kashmiris.

Farooq Abdullah said that army commander in-charge of operations in Kashmir has said it an interview with national newspaper that they will continue the operations and the talks will take years to succeed in Kashmir. He said that BJP and other right wing forces cannot break the resistance of people of Kashmir at any cost. He said that Dineshwar Sharma-led talks are just a formality and not a serious effort to address Kashmir issue.

Earlier on November 11 Dr Farooq Abdullah made a controversial statement when he said that PoK belongs to Pakistan and this side of Kashmir belongs to India and they live with this reality. He received sharp response from BJP and other forces who said that they will take back PoK and unfurl tri-colour in Muzaffarabad. Even the anti-terrorist front of India announced a bounty of Rs. 21 lakh for cutting Abdullah’s tongue saying that he has insulted the country by speaking in favour of Pakistan and against RSS.
