Mehbooba on twitter announce withdrawing FIRS

Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti announced withdrawing all cases against youth in Kashmir against whom police says that they were first time stone pelters. In series of tweets Mehbooba Mufti said that her Government has started the process of withdrawing FIRS against thousands of youth who indulged in stone pelting for the first time.

In one of her tweets today she said that it gives immense happiness to withdraw cases against youth and allow them to rebuild thier lives. Earlier union home ministry on the feedback and suggestions from official representative of Government of India for sustained dialogue with all shades of opinion including Hurriyat, Dineshwar Sharma  has asked the state government to withdraw cases against youth in Kashmir.

Central government has also been taking other slew of measures to win back youth in Kashmir valley and also look for ways and means to bring permanent peace in Kashmir.

It is in place to mention the failure of former chief minister Omer Abdullah to implement his order to withdraw all cases against youth right from 2008 unrest to year 2014. He also announced that he will see to it that these youth live normal lives.Talking very tough and loud as opposition leader, Omer Abdullah proved to be a spineless chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir state. Not a single case was withdrawn on his directions by police in his period as chief minister of the state.

Mehbooba Mufti in order to score browne points announced in May 2016 that she will withdraw all cases against youth in Kashmir but nothing happened and instead police registered about 13000 fresh cases against youth most of them teenagers post Burhan wani uprising in July 2016.

While the reports said that only 4500 cases have been put up by police before the government to withdraw FIRS against them.
