Army resorted to ariel firing after facing pelting in Bandipora villages

Army in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday resorted to aerial firing after they were pelted with stones.

Reports said that army opened fire in air in Saderkoot Bala and Chandergair localities of northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district after locals pelted them with stones.

“To disperse the youth who pelted them with stones, army resorted to aerial firing,” reports said.

Earlier, reports said that army resorted to aerial firing in Chandergair locality of Hajin after army vehicles were pelted with stones in the morning.

Meanwhile, a police official has denied reports of aerial firing by army in these areas.
