JKLF Chief and important leader of JRL on Saturday in a press conference said that Central Government was trying to frame all leaders in different cases after they have failed to kill the sentiment of ‘Aazadi’ in Kashmir. Malik said that such pressure tactics will fail because people of Jammu and Kashmir have decided to give fight on all fronts to the might and ploys of  New Delhi.

He further  claimed that New Delhi was using Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as a tool to force the pro-freedom leadership into submission.

Speaking to reporters during a press conference in Srinagar, Malik said that he hasn’t received any notice from the ED into the alleged forex violation.

The show-cause notice to Malik and a Srinagar-based couple was issued recently by the central probe agency under provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, PTI news agency reported yesterday.

Malik said he would rather prefer to spend his entire life in Tihar jail in New Delhi than to surrender before New Delhi’s “fresh ploys aimed at making Kashmir’s pro-freedom leadership bow.”

“The case dates back to March 2001 and its trial is already going on in POTA court in Jammu. On Friday, I came to know through media that ED has issued a notice to me regarding the same case,” said Malik.

He said that when the trial of the case was already going on in a Jammu court, he wondered as to “what was the fun of issuing notice to him.”

He said BJP-led regime in New Delhi can’t understand the love of Kashmir’s resistance leadership towards the ongoing movement.

“They (BJP) were nowhere in sight when Quit-India movement was launched against the Britishers. So those at the helm in New Delhi at this stage can’t understand let alone acknowledge our commitment towards Kashmir’s freedom movement,” Malik said.
