HAWS and SDA lock horns at Neilgrath
After the recent court intervention, the Sonamarg Development Authority has asked High Altitude Warfare School of Sonamarg to halt all constructions in the green zone of Neilgrath. Earlier SDA officials informed the court that army was paying no heed to the notices of the authority to stop constructions.
The SDA has asked the commanding officer of HAWS to immediately demolish the new foundations for several toilets and bathrooms on the bank of Sindh river along the Srinagar leh highway. In the public intrest litigation the court has asked SDA to demolish all illegal constructions in Sonamarg meadow and all along Sindh river to restore the pristine beauty of the area.
