Former union home minister p chidambaram has said that he was deeply disturbed by the alienation in kashmir. He said that he was worried what is happening in valley as there is deep firment.

He said that appointment of interlocutor was divioneray tactic and claimed that Modi government still believes in muscular policy to deal with kashmir. He said that statement of army chief and other minister clearly shows that central government still believes in military solution to Kashmir.

He has told media that what he could understand from his interactions with people of kashmir whenever they talk Azadi they mean autunomy.
