Protest rock Islamic University after arrest of a Student.
Students of Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora on Monday held a protest against the detention of their mate.
Sources said a student, identified as Junaid Akhoon, pursuing diploma in Polytechnic college of the IUST was arrested by police from his house at Aarampora village in Awantipora.
A senior police official said that Akhoon was detained for questioning about his brother Salia Mohammad Akhoon, an active militant who was involved in recent bank robbery incident at Marhama Bijbehara.
