Two infiltrators killed, combing operation on in Baramulla-Kupwara
Srinagar: Army spokesman on Monday said that they have foiled two infiltration bids in the Northern districts of Kupwara and Baramulla on Monday and have killed two militants so far.
Army spokesman said that two infiltrators were killed when they were trying to enter into Kashmir through Rampur Sector near the Line of Control in Baramulla district north Kashmir. Army claimed that they recovered two weapons also from the killed militants.
Reports said that after the infiltration bid, fearing that some militants might have crossed, army and security forces have launched massive combing operation in the forests of Rampur sector on Monday afternoon. The combing operation was going on and further details were awaited.
In Kupwara district in the Tangdar sector army in the morning has repulsed the infiltration attempt by a group of militants. Combing operation in this sector was also going on. Heavy exchange of fire was going on and more details are awaited according to a tweet by the Chinar Corps in Srinagar. Army spokesman said that in the current year in Kashmir more than 140 militants have been killed including some top militant commanders.
