25 films screened on the second day of Kargil International Film Festival

On the second day of the Kargil International Film Festival (KIFF) which is going on in Syed Mehdi Auditorium Hall Kargil, today 25 films were screened. Meanwhile people from different walks of life including the students take part in the festival on second day.

However the films which were secerned today were the national and international level films in which films like House of Norway, The hallway, the return etc. were screened.

Talking to the media Director KIFF, Meraj Siddiqui said that the response of KIFF is overwhelming and we hope we could continue in future too.

He Said, “I think cinema which is a medium of communication will explore Kargil to the outside and the outsiders to the Kargil vice versa”.

Mohammad Sadiq, Representative Students’ Educational Movement said that we feel glad to be a partner of this film festival

“Kargil is a locked region for the outside cinema and we will try to unlock this region” he added.

Sajjad Kargili, the KIFF coordinator expressing is gratitude to DBG film club, LAHDC and SEMOK that they have make this film festival successful.

“Cinema means lot for Kargil as we are the people remains disconnect with the world for months and this cinema will bridge us with the outside world”.

This Festival is organized by DBG Film Club in collaboration with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil (LAHDC) & Students Educational Movement of Kargil (SEMOK).

The festival will continue till the 23rd of August, 2017.
