PDP have covert ties with Hurriat: Farooq Abdullah
Srinagar
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah Wednesday alleged chief minister Mehbooba Mufti of being “hand-in-glove with Hurriyat”.
According to the India Today, talking to reporters in New Delhi, Farooq Abdullah claimed that Mehbooba was “secretly backing Kashmiri separatists”.
“She (Mehbooba) is hand-in-glove with Hurriyat. One of her ministers write the statements that (separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani) give,” Abdullah said, adding, “PDP won Assembly election because of Hurriyat.”
Farooq described the arrest of eight pro-freedom leaders for allegedly receiving funds from Pakistan to fab unrest in the Valley as “a good move”.
“It is a very good development. We all know where is the money coming from,” Abdullah said.
