NIA arrested seven kashmiri Hurriyat leaders

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday arrested seven Kashmiri separatist leaders on charges of receiving funds from abroad to sponsor stone-pelting protests in the Kashmir Valley.

The activists who were arrested include National Front chairperson Nayeem Ahmad Khan, JKLF activist Bitta Karate, Hurriyat (m) chairperson Shahid-ul- Islam, Hurriyat (g) activist and son in law of Syed Ali Geelani, Altaf Ahmad Shah (Fantoosh), District president of Hurriyat (g) Mehraj-ud-din Kalwal, Geelani’s personal secretary Peer Saifullah and spokesperson Ayaz Akbar.
