Restrictions imposed in Srinagar on Saturday.
Restrictions under Section 144 CrPc would be imposed in Srinagar – summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir – to prevent protests and rallies on the maiden death anniversary of slain Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani tomorrow.
“Restrictions on movement of public and transport under Sec 144 CrPC to remain in force in all police station areas of District Srinagar tomorrow, July 8,” said an order issued by the District administration.
However, essential services and government employees would be exempted, said the order.
“Restrictions shall also not be applicable to accredited and registered media persons performing their professional duties.”
