Gunfight rages in South Kashmir, lady killed.
After receiving a specific information regarding presence of militants in Birnhi Batpora Dailgam security forces laid a cordon in the wee hours. While the cordon was being laid some militants outside a house fired upon the security personnel which was retaliated. In the cross firing one lady 41 years old namely Tahira sustained injuries and later on succumbed. However, some militants are holed up in the house. Efforts are on to take out the civilians out of this house.said a police official.
Sources say two to three militants are trapped in the area.one is believed to be Top LeT commander Bashir Lashkari who is involved in Killing of SHO Feroz and five other policemen in Achabal Anantnag.meanwhile,thousands of locals reached to site where
Stone pelting going on. Situation is said to be tense.
