Vehicle torched after it crushed minor girl to death.
A government vehicle was torched by angry people in central Kashmir’s Budgam district after it crushed a ten-year-old girl to death on Friday.
Locals told Greater Kashmir that a government vehicle belonging to Rural Development Department hit seerat Jan, daughter of Abdul Hamid Reshi in Nasrullahpora village of the district today morning at the main chowk.
The girl, they said, died on spot.
As the word of the killing spread, people assembled at the spot of the accident and torched the vehicle, said an eyewitness.
The crowd didn’t even allow the firemen to douse the fire until the vehicle turned into ashes.
An official said that police has registered a case in this regard.
