High alert sounded as cop succumbs
Police has sounded high alert in entire srinagar city after a sudden sneak attack by suspected militants on police party at Hyderpora Chowk late this evening. Reports said that one cop died while being taken to hospital while another injured cop was taken to hospital and being treated by doctors, one report of a news agency said that injured cop was taken to army base hospital for treatment. more details are awaited.
