Situation normal barring few incidents:Police
Police on Friday said that the situation remained “peaceful and under control” across Kashmir valley except five incidents of stone-pelting.
“After Friday prayers, these stone pelting incidents were reported from Memender, near Mini-Secretariat in Shopian, near Reshmoual Sahib Shrine in Anantnag, Near Jamia Masjid in Kupwara and at main Chowk Sopore,” said a spokesman.
He said that government forces used “maximum restraint” during these incidents.
The spokesman said that a boy, identified as Faizan Ahmad Sheikh, son of Gul Mohammad, a resident of S.K Colony Anantnag received stone injury in his right eye.
He was shifted to SMHS, Hospital Srinagar where his condition is said to be stable, he said.
