Protest and suspension of class work across valley after Killing of HM Commamder.

Authorities in various colleges in Srinagar on Saturday suspended their class work soon after the news about killing of Hizbul Mujahidin Commander spread across Kashmir.

Authorities in Women’s College Srinagar and SP College suspended their classes and asked the students to go home. The classes were suspended to avoid student protests in colleges.

Meanwhile students from Baramulla Degree College in north Kashmir staged massive protest after the news about killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Bhat spread in the area.

Witnessed said the police reached the spot and tried to pacify the students, triggering clashes. Stone pelting was going on till the last reports came in.

Also, panic gripped Lal Chowk after students from the neighboring institutions staged a protest and started pelting stones on CRPF bunker at exchange road.

Protests erupted at Polytechnic and Amar Singh College in the city.

Massive student protests erupted at Boys Degree College Khanbal in south Kashmir and Sopore town of Barmulla.
