Governor asks police to play pro-active role with common man.
SRINAGAR: Governor N.N.Vohra asked IGP Kashmir to ensure that his Force plays a prompt and pro-active role in solving the problems faced by the people at large.Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Muneer Khan, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. This was Khan’s first meeting with the Governor after taking over charge.Governor advised IGP to keep close surveillance on all fronts during the meeting.
Governor also asked the IGP to devote special attention to see that the educational schedules of the students are not disrupted under any circumstances and they are immunize from influences which have the potential of vitiating their academic careers.
IGP briefed the Governor about the Internal Security situation in the Valley, particularly in South Kashmir.
