Food business operators fined
SRINAGAR: Ten food business operators were fined Rs 210000 for safety violation by Adjudicating Officer (ADC Srinagar) during a market checking in summer capital today.
The erring food business operators were charged under Food Safety & Standards Act for manufacturing and selling substandard food items which include one milk processing unit and two spices manufacturing units.
The Adjudication Officer said that the market checking drive will be intensified to keep a check on profiteering, hoarding and black marketing. . (J&K Information Department Press Release)
