Geelani says education department compromising dignity and moral values

Srinagar: Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday while meeting with deputation said that J&K Education Department was sending girl students to various forces camps in different states for NCC training and described such sending of girls to  tarnish dignity, sanctity & moral values in state.  Geelani said that the parents and as well as the staff of these institutions are responsible for this & they need to take care of this grave situation. He appealed to teaching and non-teaching staff of these institutions, urged to stop this practice and asked to desist from   handing over girl students to forces.

Geelani appealed parents should take care of their children he said that it is a prime duty of parents to safeguard honour of their girl child. Geelani said that he has been informed by respectable and responsible citizens that many heads of colleges and educational institutions were cooperating with security forces to send the girls under NCC programmes to different states.
