PDP core to meet
Srinagar: On Monday afternoon PDP core committee is likely to meet under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and they will discuss the future course of the party especially in the light of growing clamour within the party to sever ties with BJP. The meeting is likely to discuss all the aspects of the prevailing situation in Kashmir and how to take forward the agenda of the party and how to address the trend of growing hostility with people.
The meeting has assumed significance in the light of the killing of District President of PDP today that was shot and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Mehbooba Mufti is likely to apprise the party leaders about her meetings with Prime Minister and host of other dignitaries in New Delhi and they will discuss what has been the way forward suggested by New Delhi to them. PDP is coming under increasing pressure from within and from the opposition parties to sever ties with BJP at the earliest to save the credibility of the party among the people especially in South Kashmir.
The core meeting of the party comes in wake of Chief Minister meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi today morning in New Delhi.
