Pellet injuries to students in Srinagar

Srinagar Police resorted to heavy tear-smoke shelling and finally used pellet guns to disperse students in Srinagar especially at S.P. College and M.P. Higher Secondary School. Reports said that a student of M.P. Higher Secondary School Srinagar identified as Faizan Noor was hit by pellets in his left eye and was shifted to SMHS hospital.

Similarly, in the police action which continued throughout the day of Monday, many students of S.P. Higher Secondary school received injuries and were hospitalized. Student’s protests erupted in almost all the educational institutions across Kashmir on Monday in which dozens of students were injured in clashes with police and security forces.

Meanwhile, police and security forces used pepper gas and tear-gas to disperse the students of Degree College Handwara and in these action scores of students were injured reports said.

In a similar incident at Shopian many students were injured when they took to streets on Monday in protest against police action on the students of Degree College Pulwama in which some 50 students received injuries on Saturday.
