Srinagar: J&K police has directed all the telecom companies operating in Kashmir Valley to shut their services as more and more videos were surfacing on the social media triggering more unrest and clashes on the streets.

Earlier J&K police Chief S.P. Vaid told media that they will try to block all those pages which were being responsible for flaring-up the situation on the streets and prompting the youth to clash with security forces. There have been viral videos on the social media networks which have shown security forces beating young boys on streets and even torturing them.

But the independent MLA from Langate Engineer Rashid has claimed that these videos were being circulated by the security agencies to instill fear in the youth of Kashmir showing them how they were torturing those boys who came on streets against their repression.
