Latest news from the assembly said that authorities have lifted the restrictions on media to cover the session on GST. The ban on media was lifted after the boycott by journalists and protests by opposition parties leading to adjournment of the session.
Police foil traders sit in outside assembly
Police on tuesday thrashed many traders and arrested them when they tried to organise sit in outside the assembly to protest GST implementation here. Witnesses said that police bundled all trade union members into their vehicles and lodged them in police stations. Earlier in the morning trade leaders were arrested including their head Yasin Khan.
