Safety of workers
In order to look deeper into the safety measure for laborers at the construction site, many Deputy Commissioners in J&K are reviewing the measures.
Recently Te Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, conducted an extensive visit to various mega project construction sites across the district, including Hadipora, Sangrama, Delina, Palhallan, and other locations.
This visit aimed to assess the safety and security measures in place to enhance surveillance, deter untoward incidents, and safeguard laborers’ well-being.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a secure and safe working environment for the workforce. He directed the concerned authorities to install CCTV cameras and ensure adequate lighting at all construction and accommodation sites.
He and his team interacted with workers on-site, assuring them of the administration’s commitment to their safety and welfare. He urged project teams to strictly adhere to safety protocols while expediting construction work to meet deadlines without compromising on safety standards.
He emphasized the necessity of a robust security framework and said that the administration is committed to creating a secure and conducive environment for laborers who are an integral part of these developmental initiatives.
