Jal Jeevan Mission
In order to provide safe drinking water, J&K administration is working very hard on the ground under the scheme JJM.
Recently Advisor Bhatnagar visited Rajpura Akhnoor and took onspot review of various JJM works.
He held the visit with an aim to gain firsthand insights into the ongoing water supply projects and to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the prestigious Jal Jeevan mission.
He engaged with local officials, engineers, and Pani Samiti members involved in the implementation of JJM. The Advisor held detailed discussions with them focusing on current status of water supply projects, challenges faced, and strategies to expedite the mission’s objectives.
He made out that the government is committed to ensure accessibility of safe and clean drinking water to every individual as well as every household and emphasized on the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies and local communities for smooth implementation of this prestigious mission.
He conducted on-site inspections of various project sites, examining the quality of work and adherence to project timelines. He encouraged the executing agency to maintain the momentum of achieving the mission’s goals.
He also chaired a meeting with senior officers of Jal Shakti department and took stock of progress on ongoing works under JJM in Marh Block.
