Winds, heavy rains in Jammu, Kashmir to witness light downpour

Jammu on Monday morning witnessed a huge spell of winds followed by heavy spell of rain which gave relief to the common people here.
In Kashmir valley the MeT office has predicted widespread light rains in the next 48 hours.
In Jammu there have been brief spells of winds and scattered rains in the past few days, but the heavy downpour on Monday has brought the temperatures down and the atmosphere looks serene.
Due to the heavy rains and winds, there was disruption in the power supply for hours and was finally restored by the authorities. There have been disruptions in the power supply even during the winds in the past few days adding to the problems of common people in Jammu which is witnessing unusual high temperatures and dry weather conditions.
