Social Forestry started distribution of male popular plants at Harran

Department of Social Forestry kick started distribution of male popular plants at Harran Nursery of the District Ganderbal. Regional Director Kashmir Mehraj-ud-Din Malik started the process by distributing around 15000 Male Poplar plants in presence of members of panchayat Raj Institution. Almost 700 beneficiaries received the male popular trees from the nursery. Meanwhile, department have appealed farmers to avail the benefit of the scheme which can not only help in increasing the income but will get rid of cotton produced by female popular trees which has been also banned by the court.
