Education Department in Ganderbal will initiate action against teachers after the recent tenth class results

Acting on the directions of the J&K government, the Education Department in Ganderbal district is going to initiate action against all those teachers and other staff in the government run schools where the results have been poor as reflected by the recent declaration of class tenth results.

Reports said that Chief Education Officer Ganderbal has directed his subordinate to submit a report about the poor performance of a Government School so that action may be initiated against the school staff.

According to KNT in its news report regarding this action by the Education Department in Ganderbal it has said in its news report on Saturday as follows.

The school in question is Government High School Sufraw Gund falling under Harianiwan Zone of Kangan town where out of 20 students only 3 qualified in recently declared Class 10 results by the Board of School Education.

Chief Education Officer’s direction came after parents staged a protest alleging that the school has been continuously showing poor performance while the teachers posted in the school have not been transferred for a long time.

Parents alleged that 3 out of 20 students who passed the examination were also the product of an English Medium School who had taken admission in the school last year.

Chief Education Officer Ganderbal Dr Javeed Ahmed told news agency Kashmir News Trust that he has asked Zonal Education Officer Hariganwan Zone to visit the school and submit a report about the reasons behind the continuous poor performance of the school so that action will be initiated against the staff.
