Heritage building of old secretariat in shambles needs attention of authorities

Heritage building of the old secretariat is in a bad shape as it needs the attention of the authorities as it was once the seat of power and the main secretariat to govern Jammu and Kashmir after 1947.

Most of the people who have the love for the heritage have appealed to the authorities and also the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) chapter of Jammu and Kashmir to do something so that this heritage building is restored and its surroundings are cleaned.

The surrounding lawns of this heritage building are full of the material which is worn out and has become a dumping ground for the offices to throw their wastes in the vicinity of this building.
