Entrepreneurship Development
The J & K government has been focusing on skill oriented courses so that more and more entrepreneurship development programs are done on the ground and the youth start doing their own business rather than looking for government jobs.
Recently J&K government has exhorted agricultural universities to focus on imparting practical knowledge among students so that they could connect themselves with various aspects of agriculture and develop themselves as ‘Job Providers’ rather than ‘Job Seekers’.
There is great need to involve UG and PG students in entrepreneurship development programs as their expertise and potential can do wonders in transforming the business world in the field of agriculture and this feeling of the government is being shared not only by the Advisors to Governor but also by the youth.
Farmers of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh would be benefited immensely from this Innovative Farmers Conference wherein Padma Shree awardee farmers and National awardee farmers interacted with them and shared experiences of their success in agriculture and allied enterprises.
If the students in Jammu and Kashmir get the proper training at the proper time so that they can develop their own business units it would be a game changer in the society especially in the rural areas.
Interaction with the successful entrepreneurs can also help the youth to start their own units and become the job providers in the society.
Government will have to act at the proper time by providing them all the facilities to create their own units so that they can start the business without any delay with the help of government schemes.
