DC Srinagar reviews progress of DILRMP
100 % scanning of Revenue records done; Sets Target of 2 weeks for digitisation of Massavis
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09: In order to review the progress achieved on the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of concerned Officers of Revenue Department at meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on computerization of Land Records including Scanning of Revenue Documents/ Maps, Digitization of Maps and Quality check of scanned data, Scanning of Massavis besides, Updation and Digitization and Authentication of Jamabandies.
While reviewing the progress achieved on Scanning of Revenue Documents, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that till date 2873514 Revenue documents have been scanned out of which 2251046 documents have been approved by the concerned authorities after Quality check.
The DC was also informed that all 1605 Massavis have been scanned in Srinagar district out of which 1588 Massavis have been approved after a Quality check by the concerned authorities.
With regard to Updation/ Digitization of Jamabandies in Srinagar district, the DC was informed that there are 137 Revenue Villages in Srinagar and Jamabandies of all 137 Villages have been updated by the concerned Tehsildars, out of which 120 Jamabandies have been digitized by the concerned agency so far and remaining process will be completed soon.
Highlighting the importance of Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme, the Deputy Commissioner said that the main aim of DILRMP is to usher in a system of updated land records, automated and automatic mutation, integration between textual and spatial records, inter-connectivity between Revenue and Registration, to replace the present deeds registration and presumptive title system with that of conclusive titling with title guarantee and its integration with the Sub-Registrar offices which also need to be computerised so that updation of land record could be done automatically and dynamically.
The DC directed the concerned to complete the Quality check of all remaining Revenue documents by September 19. He was also instructed to prepare a complete and authenticated database of all Revenue record for future use and reference.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Syed Hanief Balkhi, Sub Divisional Magistrate, West, Akshay Labroo, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rayees Ahmad, all Tehsildars and other concerned were present in the meeting.
