The government of Jammu and Kashmir with each passing day is making its officers accountable and is also awareing the public about their responsibilities so that the system becomes transparent.

In this direction recently Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha launched an app from the civil secretariat of Srinagar known as ‘Photographic Record of On-site Facility’.

It will certainly make the administration more accountable to people and will also streamline the process of clearing of the bills in the treasures of Jammu and Kashmir as in the past they used to be piled up for months.

He observed that this new intervention made by the Government for uploading complete geo-tagged photographs will have a larger impact on monitoring & completion of projects.

Henceforth, no bills shall be entertained in the treasury unless photographs of projects are uploaded. The image evidence of all the projects shall now be available for the public on EMPOWERMENT portal.

Government is laying special emphasis on taking the government’s work to the people. Under initiatives like JK BEAMS, EMPOWERMENT, all the relevant information relating to key aspects of project implementation has been put in public domain.

‘PROOF’ is a part of the Government’s endeavor to bring transparency in the governance system by enabling citizens to overview the works being executed, thus ensuring their active involvement in the development process.
