Body of Budgam teenage boy recovered in Arigam

After a lot of searching, police and authorities were able to retrieve the body of a teenage boy, who slipped into the Shaali Ganga Nallah in Arigam area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Though the locals tried their best to save the boy after he slipped into the Nallah but due to the flow of the water they could not recover the body yesterday, however on Thursday they were able to retrieve the body from the waters.

When the body was recovered it brought a pall of gloom into his native village as this tragedy has left not only his family but the entire village to mourn his untimely death.

Meanwhile GNS in its report about the retrieval of his body has said, the authorities assisted by locals had been searching for the boy immediately after he fell into the water body on Wednesday afternoon.

After hours of rigorous efforts, the body was found some hundred metres from the incident spot.

As reported, Irfan Ahmad son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, a resident of Arigam area fell down into the water body while walking along the embankment of the under construction structure being built along Arigam Fraswar road in Khan Sahib area.

A huge number of local inhabitants have been at the spot even as the body on its way to native village for last rites.
