No Friday prayers, corona curfew imposed strictly in Srinagar

Most of the big Masjids and shrines are closed on Friday as the government has imposed a strict curfew up to May 24. Right from morning on Friday police and security forces were seen enforcing the curfew, checking identity cards and the private vehicles which were plying on some roads of Srinagar.

Jamia Masjid Srinagar along with all other big Masjids and shrines were closed and locked by local authorities so that no congregation was held in connection with Friday prayers.
The security was on high alert and police were seen chasing away the people who were violating the sops.
