Government create media desk to avoid misinformation regarding covid-19 situation

After asking the doctors not to give any information to the media about the covid-19 situation in the hospitals, the government in a latest circular has asked the doctors and other officials connected with the hospitals not to post any institutional information on any social media platform so that there is no misunderstanding panic chaos among the common people.
While there is a huge surge of covid-19 cases and patients with complications taking admissions in the hospitals, social media platforms are the only outlet for them to get some relief.
However government medical college Srinagar on Monday has announced that they have not only established a media desk but have also designated a spokesperson who will speak on behalf of the hospital authorities so that there is no misinformation going to the public.
According GNS news report in a circular, the Principal-cum-Dean GMC has impressed upon all the Doctors, Officers, officials of GMC Srinagar and its Associated Hospitals to refrain from posting any Institutional information on any Social Medial Networking site in order to avoid misunderstanding, panic, chaos and law and order situation among masses.
The officers designated as spokespersons of GMC Srinagar and its Associated hospitals as per the circular include Dr. S.M. Salim Khan, Prof. & Head SPM & Nodal officer, Dr. Kanwageet Singh, Medical Superintendent SMHS, Dr. M. Salim Tak, Medical Superintendent CD hospital, Dr. Shabir A Siddique, Medical Superintendent LD Hospital, Dr. Jehangir Bakshi, Medical Superintendent Super Specialty Hospital, GB Pant/ Children, medical Superintendent Dr. Nazir H. Chowdhary, Dr. Suhail Miyan Medical Superintendent Bone & Joint Hospital, Kashmir Nursing Home, Dr. Asif A Khanday and Medical Superintendent and at Psychiatry Disease Hospital, Dr. Ajaz A. Baba, Medical Superintendent.
